The Wakeup Call

                                                                                              In the middle of December 2013 4.30 a.m.,

     "M****,BC, Fuck you, go and die, you are dead I'm going to make sure you cry for the rest of your life"  You all might wonder what was all that ! Nope it's not what you think, if you thought it was my ex than you are wrong, it wasn't her, it was her elder sibling sister who happens to be my best friend's girlfriend.Everything has a beginning, this was the beginning of my misguided and misled relationship !

                          Love starts with friendship, they say. Nope it doesn't! Well if a guy does a friendship with a girl or vice versa its because of attraction ! And attraction leads to curiosity, curiosity leads either to love or friendzone in case of boys mostly! And then there are some guys like me, we just love making friends! There is nothing harm in making friends! That day I just met riya, and we became friends on that staircase. At that moment it was neither attraction nor love at first sight, it was just a friendship that happened cause I pushed her.I come from a generation where we are hybrid, we got things from 80's like, we took relationship seriously, we were friends for life, and caring at the same time, when we the so called 90's generation moved to college we came to the web world and life full of T.V. series and then some of us just got fucked !

                           That day,for the first time,riya came to meet me during the lunch break. She stood outside the final year's classroom, her eyes wandering here and there searching for me. Finally she spotted me and waved looking at me. I was sitting in the classroom completing my assignment, as we got the warning from ma'am, 'submission on regular bases!' One of my friend notices and said,

"Bhai wo first year wali bula rahi hai tere ko !" Ya, you know that line, its like bhai tuze to ladki patgai ! You can't make them understant this, every girl that calls you is not your crush nor she has one on you ! 

I looked at the door, there she was waving at me with a smile, I waved back, and with the hand gesture she indicated me to come out.So it was certain I was going out to meet her!

Riya was excited to see me ,she hit me with a force, I was surprised ,

"This is for morning, you pushed na !"

"I guess I said my bad !"

"Then too , I just wanted to hit you !" 

"OK , so finally we met , your sister talks to much about you and she told me if you need anything, then help her out. So here I am at your service if you need anything you know my class room and don't worry if any boy tries to do anything just tell me I'll handle it !" For every boy this is the only line they come up with for protection.

"Don't worry I know where to punch a boy !" 

"Ouch...!"

"Hahaha I won't punch you, you are my friend!"

"Well that's a relief We became friends!"

"And I am going to hit you again (Hitting me on the shoulder) why did you suggested samsung to Didi, I wanted to buy Sony smart phone !" Her sister had asked me for a good phone under a budget so I suggested as samsung's smartphone were kinda good !  

"She has a Sony phone na, so I suggested samsung , look at the bright side you can exchange phone !"

"I won't exchange anything with her and don't you dare say that to her !"

"I never heard that one !" 

And she suddenly snatched my phone from my hand and started to open gallery and all stuff,

"Ky karte, it has a personal data!"

"Ya I'm looking for your gf!"

"Well I don't have one !"

"I know that in your whole school group you are the only one who's single !" She was making fun of me or she was being sarcastic ! Yup she was being sarcastic, and her friend was giggling !

"And I took the phone so that I can have your number, save my number it's in dialled list !"

"Ok sure!"

"Bye, jate me ata udya bhetu! jata na kiti chi train pakadto and morning chi kutli train ?"  

"Morning 8.30 slow and evening which ever we get !"

"Bye text you in some time "

As soon as she left I texted her sister say what just happened. She was all OK that we were friends.
                                 
                                                        Same day in the afternoon, I received a series of text from riya, as I was in the practicals we all have that habit of using cell phone once a while,
"Hi..! Look on the right side of the lab I'm in the lab five!"We had those sintex and glass barriers in between our labs, so I was in lab four while she was in five.
Basically, I had no clue what to reply I just stood up and had a look around in lab five,
"I don't see you ! where are you ?"
she replied ,
"Find me?"
"What was that and why? are you really in lab five or just playing ?"
"I'm bored and we are playing hide and seek !"
She is crazy! right ? And she was one fun of a thing, she just met me in the morning and now she started playing games!Like real life game. She is just a awesome friend.She was totally friendly, like fun friend, for her she use to do this kind of things on regular bases, we use to totally play in our college campus!
               As, our ma'am was not in the lab nor hers I just went out with my batch mates to get to know the freshers.You can imagine the scenario, here we are seniors trying to make sure juniors don't mess with us that kind of scenario!And we just walked into the lab and I was just looking for riya , while my friend started to ask everyone about there class, as if they don't knew it ! while all that I just reached to the other corner of the lab searching her, she was nowhere to be found and then I heard a giggling sound , it was coming from below the computer table , she was hiding below it and her friends were covering her ! I smiled at them and text ed her,
"Found you now come out !"
"Come and get me !"
Like seriously what's going on !
"Ok bye I'm going back to my lab !"
"So rude na !"
"Hahah "
While all this a guy just came at me and said,"ky problem hai be tera ?"
Seriously man look at you and look at me, he was as thin as Justin Bieber! and same baby types !
"I'm just here to meet my friend !"
"Nikal smaja !"Ya you got that right, he fucking said that with his eyes open ! All I did was just smiled,
"Baccha hai tu, agle bar soch samaj ke bola kar " Filmy dialogue right ! But it just comes out at such moment !
"You don't know me !Do you know who I'm" Yup a typical GANGSTER dialogue !Basically I grew with many friends and bunch of them, well they all are good in many things so was I was all like,
"Bhai hoga tu koi, I don't really care !"
And suddenly in this hustle bustle riya came out and stood besides me and she grabbed my hand, I guess she thought I would hit him,
"Stop it Druv, he is my friend and you don't know him !"
"There you are finally caught you !"
"Are you serious ? You are in between argument and you are now cracking joke !"She was being serious that was her serious phase !
"Haha it's not an argument someone is afraid and jealous !"
Riya laughed and said,
"Let it go guys you both are my friends !"And I left with all my friends, all of us staring at that guy, giving him that look!You know those look, the big grudge look! As soon I left the lab, received a text from riya ,
"Sorry , You had to go through all this I never thought this would happen and he didn't know anything about you !"
I replied,
"Don't be sorry OK! Its not your mistake, he don't know how to talk to people so he is going to be sorry after college !"
"Don't do anything stupid OK let it go I don't want you to fight, don't waste time on him!"
I was laughing over that message like what does she mean man!
"What? I did not catch you ?"
"You won't do matter !"
"Matter, why I would I do ! he already did it !"
"Leave it na "
"Sorry !"
And rest is history, you just need to do what's right !     

This is that phase of my life where you act before you think! Where all your thinking revolved around matter and stuff !
